Now it is

Nickname: Deeow (This is my nickname! You are more than welcome to call me Deeow!)
Location: Somewhere in a lovely state called Massachusetts
Education: I graduated from a high school in Thailand, I did my postgraduate year at The Hill School, Pennsylvania, and now I am a senior at Boston University.
As a student with an interest in Computer Science, I am excited and alarmed by the growth of artificial intelligence and machine learning which quickly becomes "the" topic of research and discoveries for decades. Many technologies that we make use of today are fueled by their power, like traffic alerts so we can get to work faster, or speech recognition that helps the task of replying to texts or typing works easier.
However, it is also clear that many people were offended as the algorithms in these technologies would produce results that are not inclusive for everyone. Therefore, I want to create a website from scratch using HTML, CSS, and Javascript with third-parties interactive examples, media, and results from academic papers so that the audience can experience the bias affecting them in real-time. The examples will include algorithmic bias in machine translation, image search and manipulation, and job hiring machines.
The overall goal of this project is that I want the audience to realize that algorithmic bias is in our daily life more than they thought. The intended audience is everyone interested in and uses technology so that they are aware of the issues, and would be able to make a change to how AI learns and performs for better fairness.
